      ⸝⸝     BACKSTORY !    ⏖
➜　　soo, my character is the queen of serpents / serpentine. but she was cursed many years ago which weakened her powers and overall strength.
➜　　serpents are known for their poison ( vish ). their queen, in rage attacked the powerful god's loved ones and injured then deeply.
➜　　to avenge this, the said god cursed the queen of serpents that her poison would not work anymore. this turned out to be the biggest weakness of the serpent queen as she wasn't even as powerful as a mere serpent of her kingdom anymore. she was banished from her kingdom for losing her powers by a stupid act. she asked for forgiveness to the king.
➜　　the king forgave her and instead of reversing his curse, he gifted her with another power. he handed her a serpentine amulet and a mere-looking oil lamp.
➜　　with the serpentine amulet, she has the power to open a portal anywhere she's desired to go to. though, this power would only work when she has a serpent somewhere near. even though, she had lost her poison's effect, she was still a serpent which is why she could use this amulet at any time.
➜　　the oil light lamp gave her the power of turning into a human being when she sensed any danger in her serpent form. this way, her identity would be a secret if she desires to keep it that way.

➜　　the character profile i designed depicts a scene from her story. it shows her in some abandoned castle, accidentally opening a portal to the sea.
➜　　this scene occurs right some days after receiving her new powers which is why she's inexperienced in using them.
➜　　in the graphics, behind her you see some giant tentacles tryna break the portal and come inside.
➜　　the items which gave her power are kept at the window along with a snake. which is her in her serpent form.
➜　　and yess, the model is desi and she's wearing some traditional jwellery.

      ⸝⸝    INSPIRATION     ⏖      
➜　　if y'all noticed, this backstory and whole idea is inspired by something important.
➜　　soo, in my culture, we believe in lord krishna. this backstory was inspired from one of the incidents which took place in his life.
➜　　there was a serpent called kāliya who kept polluting and killing all the organisms living in the river yamuna. he also poisoned the cattles of the villagers living around. and he wasn't any ordinary snake but rather a mighty snake who lived in river yamuna in dwapar yug.
➜　　lord krishna defeated him and took all of his poison so he would not harm anyone hereafter. there was more stuff, but i forgot about it now. oh wait.
➜　　kāliya was afraid other serpents would kill him because he's harmless and weak now, so lord krishna blessed him. although, kāliya was a bad guy and tried to return back but was turned into a stone. dw tho, my character isn't like that 😭 lmao.
